Last year around this time, I shared my morning routine with you.
I’ve also shared how important it is to experiment in order to find what works best for you.
Well, I’ve been practicing what I preach and trying different things in order to find what works best for me so I can be most productive. And, as a result, my morning routine has changed a bit. So, today I’m sharing what my ideal morning looks like now!
Let’s dive in…
_ _ _
4:50-5:00
Wake up light alarm goes off. I allow myself one snooze and then it’s time to get the day started.
5:00-5:10
Self-care stuff, such as brushing teeth, washing my face, etc.
5:10-5:20
Put away the dishes that were washed the night before while my water with lemon heats up.
5:20-5:30
Gentle yoga stretches to get my body moving, 100 crunches, and 50 arm workout reps.
5:30-5:40
Daily 10-minute meditation with the Calm app.
5:40-5:50
Bullet Journal work, which includes determining my Daily Highlight, writing down 3 things I’m grateful for, journaling, and writing out my to-do list for the day (which I typically set the night before). To see how I set this page up in my bullet journal, be sure to check out my Instagram story at the start of each month. Here’s the latest!
5:50-7:00
Get to work on my to-do list. Most morning’s are dedicated to With Cheryl .
7:00-7:30
Get ready for my workday, which includes doing my hair, applying my daily face sunscreen, putting on mascara, getting dressed, and grabbing my breakfast and lunch for the dayโall while listening to the Before Breakfast podcast or one of my other favorite podcast shows.
7:30
Leave for work!
7:30-8:00
Commute to the office while reading my latest book on the subway.

At that’s what my ideal morning looks like. (You can also see it in action on my featured Instagram story.) Remember, we’re all human and because of that, this doesn’t happen exactly like this every single day of my life. Sometimes the snooze gets the best of me and other days I have too much to do and I skip my morning stretches or putting away dishes.
And, that’s OK!
Mornings are all about starting your day the way you want to so you can be your most productive self the rest of the day.

Does this make you want to start your own morning routine? If so, I have a special project I’m working on for you that you will NOT want to miss! Be sure to subscribe to With Cheryl so you can be one of the first to know when this project is LIVE!

It definitely takes some time for your body to adjust to an early wake up! Keep up the hard work!! ๐ And, thank you for sharing your struggles.
You know, there’s one thing I learned about myself that might help you … make sure you’re getting enough sleep! I’ve realized that if I don’t get at least 7 hours, a 5am wake up is not going to happen! Now that I’ve realized that, getting to bed at 10:00 is a HIGH priority for me.
I hope that helps!
